Tom Jenkins is the Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer for Open Text. Recognized as one of the “100 Most Influential People” in the world of knowledge management by KMWorld for five years in a row, Mr. Jenkins has been involved with the Internet since it emerged as a major public network in the early 1990s. As CEO of Open Text Corporation from 1997 to 2005, he was instrumental in the creation of one of the first Internet search engines that were used by Netscape®, Yahoo!®, and IBM®. Mr. Jenkins went on to direct the development of the first Internet-based document management system as well as the earliest versions of Internet-based workflow, portals, and online meeting software. All of these component technologies are early forerunners of current ECM technology. Mr. Jenkins co-authored all three books in the Enterprise Content Management Trilogy. He has an M.A.Sc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, an M.B.A. from the Schulich School of Management at York University, and a B.Eng & Mgt. from McMaster
University.

Mr. Tabbakh regularly acts for private
and public corporations, financial
institutions as well as governmental
agencies (in Canada, Europe, Middle East
and North Africa), providing legal
advice in relation to mergers and
acquisitions (including hostile and
negotiated take-over bids), securities
offerings and project development.
Mr. Tabbakh has also developed a
particular experience acting for
Canadian public companies in connection
with global securities offerings in
Canada and Europe and concurrent

M. Denis a notamment développé une forte expertise dans les secteur technologiques et leur financement. Par ailleurs, il est régulièrement demander par les médias pour commenter certains dossiers à caractère économique et financier. M. Denis a été président-directeur général de SECOR de 1995 à 1999. Il est actuellement président du CA. Avant de se joindre à SECOR, il a été à l'emploi d'une importante institution financière québécoise.

Mr. Dolliver will discuss some of Microsoft's past transactions to illustrate how the company has historically approached acquisitions, and provide insights into Microsoft's decision-making process and some of the key value-drivers for the company in every acquisition.
Keith Dolliver is Associate General Counsel at Microsoft Corporation, and has been with the company since October 1995. At Microsoft, Keith leads the practice group focused on corporate transactions and securities, including acquisitions, strategic investments, and joint ventures. In addition, Keith supports the Finance and Treasury organizations at Microsoft, and leads the team responsible for managing Microsoft’s global subsidiary structure. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and Swarthmore College.

As Vice
President of Platform Strategy and
Technology, Don Campbell oversees
the company’s technology adoption
strategy and its application within the
Cognos platform today and tomorrow. He
leads the charge on leading-edge
technologies such as grid computing,
search, and wireless information
delivery in a performance management
context.
Don Campbell has 25 years of high tech
experience, 19 of which have been with
Cognos. He has held various roles from
research to software development to
management, and has led the creation of
several award-winning products. He sits
on various industry technology boards
and advisory committees.
His message of technology, performance
management, and entrepreneurism has
taken him around the globe, speaking to
over 40,000 people in 16 countries. In
2005, he was awarded with the
International Business Award for Best
Product Development or Engineering
Executive. In addition, he has authored
several published articles and a weekly
technology column. Mr. Campbell holds a
Bachelor of Computer Science degree from
Carleton University, in Ottawa, Canada.

Benoît Marcotte
Director, Operations Engineering and Program manager, Canadian Space Station Program, Canadian Space Agency Le Canada dans une perspective planétaire : Histoire de la Station spatiale internationale
Le
Canal Discovery a décrit la Station
spatiale internationale (SSI) comme le
plus ambitieux projet d'ingénierie
jamais mis en oeuvre par le genre
humain. En 1984, des visionnaires
canadiens ont su profiter de
l'invitation du président des États-Unis
Ronald Reagan pour tailler au Canada un
rôle crucial et prépondérant pour la
construction de cet unique laboratoire
de recherche international orbitant
notre planète à quelques 400 kms
d'altitude et qui se déplace à près de 8
km par seconde. Benoît Marcotte
expliquera comment le Canada a développé
le Canadarm2 et les autres composantes
du Système d'entretien mobile et comment
des Canadiens sont rapidement devenus
des joueurs-clés dans le monde des
opérations de vols spatiaux habités et
en formation en robotique spatiale
d'astronautes et cosmonautes américains,
russes, européens, japonais et
canadiens. Il décrira également la
vocation scientifique de la SSI, habitée
en permanence depuis octobre 2000, et
plus particulièrement son rôle de banc
d'essai pour les technologies requises
par l'être humain pour l'exploration et
la colonisation d'autres planètes de
notre système solaire. Il parlera des
défis passionnants engendrés par la
gestion de cet immense laboratoire, en
partenariat avec cinq agences spatiales
de cultures différentes, à partir de
trois continents.
Benoît Marcotte is the Director,
Operations Engineering at the Canadian
Space Agency (CSA), as well as the
Program Manager of the Canadian Space
Station Program. Representing Canada
within the International Space Station
(ISS) Program, he is responsible for all
operational support to the Mobile
Servicing System, Canada's contribution
to the ISS as well as integrating and
operating Canadian-sponsored payloads
on-board. Collaborating with his
colleague program managers from the
other participating nations, he
participates in the management of the
ISS construction, maintenance and
utilisation. Benoît Marcotte joined the
CSA in August 1999 after retiring from
the Canadian Air Force at the rank of
colonel. During his 28 year career, he
served primarily as a fighter pilot and
successively commanded 425 Tactical
Fighter Squadron, 3 Wing Bagotville, and
was twice the commander of a CF-18
operational task force deployed to
Europe. He was also the Director of
Operations of the Canadian NORAD Region
for two years.

Marc-André Langevin occupe
différentes fonctions au sein du bureau
de Québec, dont celle de vice-président,
Secteur d’affaires. À ce titre, il est
responsable des segments d’affaires de
la santé, de la justice et de
l’éducation ; de l’assurance et du
secteur manufacturier; du gouvernement
fédéral et des commissions (CSST, CARRA,
CNT) depuis plus de six ans.
François
Marcoux was appointed Executive
Director – Quebec Region, for Industry
Canada, in January 2006.
Mr. Marcoux has spent most of his career
within Human Resources and Social
Development Canada where he faced many
challenges in various management
positions. He also held the position of
Director General, Aboriginal Justice
Strategy, at Justice Canada.
He has extensive experience with the
workings of government, departmental
programs and services, and the Quebec
economy. Past work experience also
includes achievements in the area of
partnerships and federal-provincial
relations.
Mr. Marcoux was born in Thetford Mines
and studied economics at the University
of Ottawa.

St-Hilaire possède plus de 23 ans

les accompagnants dans le démarrage et
le développement de leur entreprise
Gordon Smith
est vice-président aux technologies de
l’information et aux acquisitions au
Centre de services partagés du Québec (CSPQ).
La mission du CSPQ est de rendre
accessibles les biens et les services
administratifs en matière de ressources
humaines, financières, matérielles et
informationnelles à l’ensemble du
gouvernement du Québec et
progressivement étendre cette démarche
au secteur parapublic ainsi qu’aux
municipalités.

diplômé de l'Université de Montréal en
ingénierie. Il a poursuivi sa carrière
de développeur en concevant des
programmes de production typographique
sur la base d'une norme alors émergente:
le langage PostScript® et devient
rapidement directeur de la filiale
canadienne d'un important manufacturier
d'imprimantes. M. Gombert a rapidement
reconnu le potentiel alors inexploité du
standard de programmation PostScript®
contribuant ainsi à la fondation
d'Objectif Lune. Il fût le premier à
programmer les premières versions de
PlanetPress pour Windows® et participa à
l’effort de R&D pendant plusieurs
années. M. Gombert se concentre
maintenant sur la gestion internationale
d’Objectif Lune qui connaît une
croissance continue.
Gilles Pepin
is the founder, president and CEO of
VisuAide, Inc., a Canadian company
specialized in the development and
marketing of high technology products
for persons who are blind or visually
impaired.
In the last 20 years, Mr. Pepin has
built a solid reputation in the field of
technology and the world of visual
disability. From the beginning, he
strove to make VisuAide a world-class
company, which today distributes its
products in more than 20 countries
around the world. Visuaide recently
merged with New Zealand company, PDI to
form HumanWare. He is now President and
CEO of HumanWare Canada and currently
fortified by a team of 100 employees
backed up by a strong management team.
Jean-Marc
Rousseau est titulaire d'un Ph.D. en
recherche opérationnelle du M.I.T.,
Jean-Marc Rousseau a été professeur au
département d'informatique et de
recherche opérationnelle (DIRO) de
l'Université de Montréal de 1973-1992.
Il a également été directeur du Centre
de recherche sur les transports (CRT) de
1979-1987. En 1979, il a participé à la
création de la société GIRO, une
entreprise spécialisée dans le
développement et la commercialisation de
logiciels notamment pour la confection
d'horaires en transport public ainsi que
la confection de tournées de collecte et
de livraison. De 1990 à 2000, il a joint
la société GIRO à plein temps comme
vice-président développement des
affaires. Les logiciels de GIRO sont
maintenant implantés dans plus de 200
organisations, dans 25 pays. En
septembre 2001, Jean-Marc Rousseau a
joint le CIRANO comme premier
vice-président. Il a été
président-directeur général du CIRANO de
décembre 2002 à septembre 2005. Il est
depuis Fellow invité au CIRANO et
président directeur-général du Réseau de
calcul et de modélisation mathématique
(Rcm2). Il siège également sur le
conseil d'administration de plusieurs
petites entreprises.
